Schools for 9th to 12th classes reopen from February 12 – Announced by WB Govt!!

West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee has announced that schools will be reopened for classes 9 to 12 from February 12.

All the students preparing for the Board examination have demanded the central and state governments to reopen the schools as all the schools have been closed since last March due to the corona epidemic. Governments were thus allowed to open schools with various conditions. Governments decided to reopen schools as the epidemic rate began to decline and vaccines were invented. It was also ordered to thoroughly clean up the schools before reopening.

It was announced that the Class 10 Board Examinations in West Bengal will begin on June 1, 2021, and end on June 10. It was also announced that the Board Examinations for Class XII would begin on June 15 and end on June 30. Thus some student and teacher unions accepted the demand that classes should be resumed, State Education Minister Chatterjee said a few days ago that their schools would reopen in a timely manner.

Following this, the State Education Minister has given permission to reopen schools for classes 9 to 12 from February 12. Students are also required to come to live classes with a letter of parental permission. However, direct attendance is not mandatory for students.
