UGC Letter Regarding: 83 UG and 40 PG SWAYAM MOOCS to be offered in July-October Semester, 2021!! The University Grants Commission (UGC), which regulates higher education, has published a list of undergraduate and postgraduate courses that can be provided through the Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM). For the July-October 2021 semester, the list comprises 83 UG and 40 PG courses for non-engineering programmes.
“Universities and Colleges are requested to make maximum use of the SWAYAM online platform for the benefit of students/learners,” according to a statement released by the UGC in this regard. The list of 83 undergraduate and 40 graduate MOOCs that will be available on the SWAYM platform during the July-October Semester 2021 may be found at swayam.gov.in/CEC.”
“SWAYAM Courses may be accepted and adopted for credit transfer on the advice of Dean Academics/Heads of Department and accepted by the Academic Council,” according to the UGC letter. Universities that have accepted SWAYAM courses for credit transfer or are in the process of doing so should fill out the UGC online form.
India’s Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform is called SWAYAM. As the national coordinator for non-technology postgraduate courses, the UGC has created 145 MOOCs and made 208 MOOCs available through the SWAYAM portal.
Through the government’s e-learning portal SWAYAM, the UGC has permitted universities and colleges to deliver up to 40% of a program’s syllabus online in a semester.
