TNPSC Group 2 Educational Qualification:
Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification
|Candidates should have a degree qualification to apply for this TNPSC Group 2 examination. The educational qualification will vary with respect to the post they want to apply for.|
|Applicants should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.|
The educational qualification prescribed for this recruitment should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the order of studies viz.10th + HSC or its equivalent + U.G. degree/degree in Law.
TNPSC Group 2 Application Fee:
Candidates have to pay the application fee of the following to apply for this notification.

The One-Time Registration will be valid for 5 years from the date of registration. Thereafter, the registration should be renewed by paying the prescribed fee.
TNPSC Group 2 Selection Process:
The selection will be made in three successive stages of Preliminary Examination for selection of candidates for admission to the Main Written Examination, Main Written Examination, and an Oral Test (in the shape of an Interview). The scheme of the preliminary examination, main written examination, and Oral test are provided below.
TNPSC Group 2 Preliminary Examination:
Preliminary Examination is an Objective Type question paper. Candidates have to choose the correct answer from the options given. There will be 03 hours given. Two types of question papers will be set. One type of paper will contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 items), and General English (100 items). The other will contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 items), and General Tamil (100 items).
The Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Written Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. Medium of Question:
Candidates are given the option to choose either General Tamil or General English for answering the second 100 items apart from answering the first (75+25) 100 items on General Studies. The questions on General Studies will be set both in English and Tamil and the questions on General Tamil / General English will be set in the respective languages.
Main Written Examination and Oral Test:
The mains examination will be held for the duration of 03 hours for the 300 marks. The question paper will be set both in Tamil and English. The general subjects/topics from which the questions will be asked are:
1) Role and impact of Science and Technology in the Development of India and Tamil Nadu.
2) Administration of Union and States with special reference to Tamil Nadu.
3) Socio-Economic Problems of India and Tamil Nadu.
4) Current issues at the National level.
5) Current issues at the State level

The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination will be 10 times the number of candidates to be recruited having regard to the rule of reservation of appointments. However, in each reservation group, all the candidates who secure the same marks as that of cut-off marks of their reservation groups shall also be admitted to the Main Written Examination, though the number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination may exceed 1:10 ratio.

How to Apply for TNPSC Group 2 Notification 2021:
- Go to the official website of TNPSC
- Go to the Careers tab and click the job you want to apply for.
- Read the job description carefully, if you are eligible then proceed to the next step.
- Applicants should apply only through online mode on the Commission’s websites. One Time Registration (OTR) and applicant Dashboard are mandatory before applying for any post.
- Applicants, who have already registered in One Time Registration before, shall use their existing user ID and Password to create an applicant’s Dashboard in the new One Time Registration system.
- An applicant who wishes to apply for this recruitment shall click “Apply” against the recruitment notified in the Commission’s website using the same user id and password given for one-time registration.
