The Rajasthan Government has announced that schools will be reopened for classes 6 to 8 from February 8.
Schools in Rajasthan were closed from March 2020 due to the corona epidemic. Schools are gradually reopening as the Board Exams for students approach and the impact of the epidemic is lessening.
Schools for the 10th and 12th grades opened last November with immunization activities. This was followed by the reopening of 9th and 11th-grade schools last month. In this situation, the government has given permission to reopen schools for students from 6th to 8th class from February 8. In addition, first and second-year students of the college are allowed to reopen the colleges.
The decision to open schools and colleges was taken at a consultation meeting held by the Rajasthan Chief Minister yesterday. The principal has also ordered that only a maximum of 50% of students should come to class in a day in schools and colleges. In addition, at the end of the consultation meeting, theatres and swimming pools were allowed to reopen. Only 50% of theatres are open to the public and up to 200 people are allowed to attend public events.
