Minister Anbil Mahesh consults with education officials about holding Class 12 Board examination due to Corona spread || Calculation of 10th Marks: School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh is in consultation with education officials regarding the conduct of Class 12 Board Examination in Tamil Nadu. Secretary Theeraj Kumar, Commissioner Nandakumar and Director of Examinations Usharani have participated in the consultation held at the General Secretariat on how to pass SSLC students.

Consultations are being held on the possibility of holding a Board Examination in the current context. Corona infection is increasing day by day in Tamil Nadu. The Minister is therefore engaged in consultation on how to conduct the examination with the future of the students in mind. Daily corona infection exceeds 35 thousand. So the whole curfew has been implemented without any relaxation.

The department is planning to hold consultation with others for the next two days. The state government also cancelled the exams for Class X students and is yet to decide on modalities for awarding marks.

“How the officials to compare other states on evaluating Class X students. And how will decide whether to award marks based on internals or previous exams for Class X,” the minister said.

The bridge course for Classes I to IX on Kalvi TV was completed on May 10. The department will air the videos about doing worksheets from May 11 to June

The worksheets will test the students’ knowledge on a particular topic. The teachers will monitor the students whether they are watching these programmes and if possible collect the worksheets through WhatsApp,” officials said.
