He went on to say that for non-professional courses, admissions are based on the students’ performance in the class 12 exam, and that since the Maharashtra Board class 12 exams were cancelled this year, a committee was formed to decide whether or not to conduct general CET exams for course admissions.
Since the Maharashtra Board’s class 12 exams were cancelled this year, this decision was made. The group would include vice-chancellors from various universities, Maharashtra CET cell officials, and the Higher Education Department.
The Maharashtra Government’s Directorate of Technical Education administers the MHT CET, or Common Entrance Test, which is an annual professional entrance exam. The MHT CET score can be used to apply for courses in engineering, law, management, pharmacy, architecture, and hotel management. Students should monitor official announcements for any changes to the MHT CET exam date in 2021.
