The University of Delhi has announced that the colleges under its control will be reopened from today.
All the colleges that were closed due to the corona curfew since last year are now reopening due to the declining outbreak. Governments are advised to reopen colleges in all states. In that regard, the colleges belonging to the University of Delhi are advised to open for first to final year students from today.
But confusion persists over the launch of hostel services for students coming from outlying areas. Classes are reopened directly to final year students who need laboratory facilities.
Although students go to colleges on a voluntary basis for process classes, there will continue to be online explanatory classes. The university director has also ordered that all the teaching staff of the college should be on duty from today. Colleges have to follow different methods for students to conduct classes. Even though the colleges are open there is little idea in the colleges for security reasons in starting the accommodation service.
