Assam Chief Minister Sarpanch Sono has announced new projects for their college students and literary organizations.
The Chief Minister of Assam has introduced new schemes like Pragyan Bharati Scheme for College Students and Pasha Gaurav Scheme for Literary Organizations. 3, 26,046 college students will be provided Rs. 1,500 was awarded. Rs 161 crore has been provided to enroll deserving students. Rs 43 crore has been provided to 21 literary organizations under the scheme for literary organizations. In addition, Rs 50,000 has been given to 600 writers. The Chief Minister announced that the youth should take advantage of the opportunities of these schemes.
In addition, the State Government is committed to providing higher education to poor students. The Chief Minister also said that teachers and parents should encourage students to participate in sports and cultural fields for the holistic development of the younger generation. Further, the Chief Minister said that literature is a reflection of the society and the Government of Assam will take steps to provide financial assistance to writers and ancient literary organizations.
Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said, “The state government has taken steps to provide primary education in the mother tongue to all students up to 5th standard. In addition to the money provided for the purchase of textbooks, the state government plans to provide individual scholarships to college students in the future.”
